I am a specialist in adult cardiology with a focus on heart rhythm problems and all types of pacemaker devices.

I am employed by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and keep private consulting rooms at The Cheltenham Cotswolds Nuffield and Gloucester Winfield Hospitals.

Although I specialise in heart rhythm abnormalities and risk stratification of palpitations and arrhythmia, I investigate and treat all aspects of adult cardiology, including coronary angiography to diagnose coronary disease. I perform the vast majority of coronary angiograms via the radial (wrist) route as a day case procedure.

I have an interest in developing new and revolutionary pacing technologies, and have won the Innovation Award (supported by the Academy of Health Sciences Network South West, Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Innovations South West), for my work.

I have taught on pacing simulators as a Faculty member of the British Cardiovascular Society on more than one occasion and present regularly at the Cheltenham Science Festival to a varied audience. I am a member of Heart Rhythm UK, the South West Electrophysiology Group (SWEG) and the Oxford Region Arrhythmia Group (ORAG). These groups not only provide a professional forum for discussing complex and difficult cases, they also facilitate links with the tertiary centres in Oxford, Bristol and the Peninsula.

I have given media interviews in a professional capacity and presented a live pacemaker implant case on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Inside Health’ program (July 2013).
